To access the tools for creating interfacing slopes click the button, or select the Interfacing Tools... option on the Road menu.
You will see this toolbar appear on the top left of the plan view window:
Interfacing is where the edge of the new designed surface joins with the existing ground. Commonly the designed level is interfaced to the ground level by means of a slope of given grade.
In the above example, the interfacing slope can be seen along the edge of the curved section of new road, extending down from the back of the footpath to meet the existing ground at a slope of 1:3.
Add Interfacing to entire road length
Change Interfacing for part of the road length
Edit the properties of a specific interface region
Delete a specific interface region
Remove Interfacing from one side of a road
Click this button to close the toolbar
