To access the tools for creating interfacing slopes click the Interfacing Tools button button, or select the Interfacing Tools... option on the Road menu.

You will see this toolbar appear on the top left of the plan view window:

Interfacing is where the edge of the new designed surface joins with the existing ground. Commonly the designed level is interfaced to the ground level by means of a slope of given grade.

Example of interfacing along the edge of a new road

In the above example, the interfacing slope can be seen along the edge of the curved section of new road, extending down from the back of the footpath to meet the existing ground at a slope of 1:3.

Edit interfacing button Edit the properties of a specific interface region
Delete interface region button Delete a specific interface region
Delete interfacing button Remove Interfacing from one side of a road
