To remove an interfacing region from a side of a road, first click the Interface Tools button button on the main toolbar and then the Delete Interface Region button button on the Interface Options toolbar.

You will be prompted to select an existing interface region from the drawing. As you move the mouse cursor the nearest road interface region is highlighted. Click to select.

The selected interface region will be removed from the road and the overall design is automatically regenerated accordingly. The regions either side of the deleted region will automatically stretch to fill the deleted region.

(Note: The Undo option may be used to restore the design, if you need to.)

Whereas the Create Interfacing facility does both sides of the road by default, the Delete Interface Region function removes from only one side at a time.
