When a design is exported to dwg/dwt the default layers from Site3D are used. A template (.dwt) file can be used to overwrite the layer colours and linetypes, and the block definitions.

To change the layers names and colours shown in Site3D refer to Custom Layer Names

To get the layers and blocks required for the template file export a project to dwg/dxf which contains, every type of design item you will be using. Then, resave the file as a .dwt file. You can then customise this template using your CAD software of choice.
