To access the Earthwork Tools click the button.
You will see this toolbar appear on the top left of the plan view window:
Or this one, if any earthworks have already been created in the project:
If there is an existing Earthwork, Pond, or Tank that you want to modify then just click near it on the Plan View to select it. The earthwork nearest the cursor will highlight to indicate it can be selected.
Alternatively, you can create a new Earthwork by clicking the New Earthwork button, the New Pond button, or the New Tank button.
Note: A standard Earthwork can be changed to a Pond and vice versa after being created. The earthwork type can be changed through the earthwork properties window. Tanks cannot be changed to another earthwork type after being created.
After selecting to create a new Earthwork or Pond, or selecting an existing one, the following toolbar is shown:
Selecting a Tank or creating a new Tank will bring up the following toolbar:
Tanks are slightly different to the standard earthwork/pond as they are defined by a single flat base line at a given level and by the tank height. Because of this, some of the earthwork tools are not included in the tanks toolbar. But the tools which are common across the earthworks, ponds, and tanks toolbars work the same way.
